About this course

Most organisations already have the data they need. What they lack is someone who can ask it a clear question and come back with an answer a manager can act on. This course builds that skill in eight weeks, from the ground up. You will start by learning to turn a vague request — "how are we doing?" — into something measurable. You will then work through the three tools that do most of the real work: spreadsheets that hold up under scrutiny, SQL for asking a database questions directly, and dashboards that answer one question well instead of showing forty numbers badly. Every module ends with a short quiz, and the course ends with a capstone: a real dataset, a real brief, and a one-page analysis you can show an employer. No programming background is assumed. You need a computer, a spreadsheet application, and about five hours a week.
