The facilities and learning technology of the Centre for Open and Distance Learning, Rivers State University.

The CODL Complex

The Centre is housed in a dedicated building on the main campus of Rivers State University in Port Harcourt. It includes offices for academic and administrative staff and a 300-seat auditorium used for lectures, training and examinations.

Learning Technology

  • University Management System (UMS): the Centre’s online learning platform and digital campus.
  • RSU Live: the University’s platform for live online classes and meetings.
  • Multimedia materials: video and audio lectures to support the written courseware.

Developments in Progress

To support full operations, the Centre is about to acquire a two-storey building that will house more offices, a computer-based test (CBT) centre, a multimedia production studio, e-tutor rooms, a learner-support helpdesk and an expanded library with e-resources.
