Our Programmes

B.Sc. Business Education (Pilot Programme)

Business Education is the University’s first programme by open and distance learning. It prepares graduates to teach business subjects and to work in business, management and entrepreneurship.

The courses are drawn from the University’s approved B.Sc. Business Education curriculum. They are in line with the NUC Core Curriculum and Minimum Academic Standards (CCMAS) and have been approved by the University’s Curriculum and Instruction (C&I) Committee. ODL learners take the same courses and receive the same degree as students on the conventional mode.

What you will be able to do

• Understand business principles, management theories and organisational behaviour.
• Apply accounting, financial and quantitative methods to solve business problems.
• Design, deliver and assess the teaching of business subjects at secondary and tertiary levels.
• Communicate effectively in business and educational settings.
• Use ICT in business operations and in the classroom.
• Act with an entrepreneurial mindset, ethical reasoning and professional integrity.
• Evaluate business education policies and economic trends.
• Work independently and in teams.

Programme status

The programme has been approved by Senate and is awaiting NUC resource verification. Admission details will be announced on the Admissions page.

Coming Soon

Following the pilot programme, the Centre plans to offer other high-demand programmes through open and distance learning, including Human Resource Management, Marketing, Nursing, Law, Computer Science and Mathematics, as well as other viable programmes. Announcements will be made on this website.
